Our Team

Peter & Isabelle Harwood own and manage Timber Frames of Australia. After building their own timber framed home in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, they established TFA in 2001 to design and craft inspiring timber frames.

Ralph was sponsored by TFA to relocate to Australia from the UK. Prior to joining the team, he worked as a Timber Framer for a well-respected British restoration and timber framing company.

Dylan joined our team as a school-leaver, and has completed his 4-year apprenticeship programme through TFA and TAFE SA to become a fully-qualified Timber Framer.  

Steve joined TFA last year. With a career-change from teaching and his love of all things timber and medieval, he makes a welcome addition to the team.

Rhys is our third-year apprentice, and the youngest member of our team. As a result, much of the peg-making falls to him!

And Meg is our part-time marketing girl. Not so skilled in the use of a chisel, her talents lie with writing up press releases, leaflets and looking after our website.
