Custom Frames Australia Custom frame homesWe specialise in the joinery techniques and are able to produce structures from as small as dog kennels to as large as hotels, from doors and windows to verandahs, pergolas and our speciality - house frames.

Custom designing allows us complete flexibility to fit a timber frame to your desired floor plan for your new home. We have many ways of helping you come up with a floor plan that allows a frame to fit in easily and to be environmentally friendly, energy efficient, durable and aesthetically pleasing.

We can custom make almost any design, as can be seen from some of our projects displayed below.

We generally work with you from the design phase, this can include an architect, building designer or working solely with you.

The usual steps involved in the process are:-

  • Initial discussion to confirm whether one of our frames will meet with the desired image/feel.
  • We create a design with an estimated cost that we feel would fit the criteria.
  • Any changes are then discussed until a plan meets with your approval.
  • A contract is then signed.
  • Working drawings are now compiled and, in conjunction with others, council approvals are sought and engineering calculations undertaken.
  • Timber is then order in preparation of crafting the joinery.
  • We now start the creation of your frame in our workshop.
  • Site inspections are made during this time to ensure that all is progressing as planned.
  • We then erect the frame.
Included in our prices are:
  1. Drawings of the timber frame for council applications
  2. Timbers as specified
  3. All timbers sanded and oiled with natural oils
  4. All joinery comprising the frame
  5. Custom made post feet
  6. Fasteners for post feet to slab or footing pads and post feet to timber posts.
  7. Frame raised on site
Some of the extras which are not included in the price of a frame are:
  1. Engineers calculations
  2. Hire equipment to raise frame (dependant on size of frame)
