 The company was founded in 2001 by Peter and Isabelle Harwood who grew up in Europe surrounded by many historic buildings.
With surveying as Peter's profession he was involved in recording historic buildings (including Windsor Castle/UK). During this time a deep fascination was embedded for the ancient craft of timber framing. Studying the original techniques of joinery and the practical experience gained through a series of projects enables us to offer you a crafted timber frame for your home. Our ideal is to create a bond between you and your home. We are reviving an ancient craft in combination with modern technology whilst maintaining economic viability. As a company we provide heavy timber framed structures for homes, pergolas, verandahs, sheds etc. We do the joinery - what you want created with the joinery is up to you - from dog kennels to hotels. We create furniture, window frames and door frames to visually and structurally match our structural frames. If it has pegged mortise and tenon joinery then we probably make it. |
